Details... George Zarubin

President

George Zarubin has worked with the Foundation since 2000, when he served as the Regional Director for the Foundation’s South Caucasus Cooperation Program. During his five years with Eurasia Foundation in Washington, he served as Executive Director and then Vice President of Program Development, during which time he coordinated the Foundation’s fundraising activities throughout Eurasia and managed special program initiatives in Iran, the Middle East and North Africa. Mr. Zarubin returned to the South Caucasus in 2007 to lead the localization of the Foundation’s offices in the region. From 1995-1999, Mr. Zarubin was the Executive Director of Soros Foundation Kazakhstan. Prior to working in philanthropy, Mr. Zarubin practiced law for six years in California and three years in Russia where he worked as a legal advisor to the Novorossiysk Shipping Company. Mr. Zarubin holds a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and received his JD from McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific. He also holds an LLM in Admiralty Law from Tulane University Law School.

Details... Hans Gutbrod

Director of Regional Programs

Hans Gutbrod holds a Ph.D. and a B.Sc. in International Relations from the London School of Economics. Originally from Germany, he is the author of a Handbook for Professional Communication, which has been published in Georgia, Mongolia, Bulgaria and is currently being translated in other countries. His primary research interests are notions of judgment/evaluation across various disciplines, and within a transition context. Prior to joining Caucasus Research and Resource Centers in 2006, Hans worked in the Caucasus region for several years. He has taught at Tbilisi State University and trained lecturers and higher education staff on methods.

Details... David Jashiashvili

Chief Financial Officer

David Jashiashvili graduated from Tbilisi State University , Department of Physics in 1995 and completed his post graduate studies in 1998. He has received trainings in accounting, financial and management reporting, tax reporting, and project management. David has worked for various private and International organizations including the Open Society Georgia Foundation (OSGF) where he started as a Program Assistant and later worked as a Grants Administrator. In 2003 he was promoted to the position of Chief Accountant of the OSGF. In 2006 he was invited by Ernst & Young (E&Y) to serve as the Chief Accountant of the outsourcing project providing fiscal agent services to the Millennium Challenge Georgia Fund. Before joining EPF, David worked for various E&Y’s advisory projects assisting offices in Almaty, Tashkent, Baku, and Tbilisi in implementation of the new management Information system. Simultaneously, he served as the Supervisor of Financial Reporting of the OSGF Global Fund project. David is an acting teacher of physics in Tbilisi public school #77 and a member of stakeholders committee. He is also an ACCA student and has already completed 1st and 2nd stage examinations.

Details... Camrin Christensen

Director of Development and Evaluation

Camrin Christensen has been living and working in Georgia since 2004. She originally came on a Fulbright grant to study Georgian language and literature and at the end of her study took a position at Transparency International Georgia, a local NGO dedicated to eradicating corruption. As Development Manager and Program Manager, she oversaw a steady increase and diversification of the organization’s funding and managed programs in the fields of education and energy. Camrin first joined the Foundation as Associate Country Director in the Georgia office, where she contributed to the expansion and refinement of the Foundation’s portfolio over a two year period. Before coming to Georgia, Camrin worked in both the NGO and education sector in Southern California. She has a degree in Russian language and literature from Wellesley College and has previously lived in Irkutsk, Russia and Kolin and Plzen, Czech Republic.

Details... Tamuna Koberidze

Regional Communications and Development Officer

Tamuna has got more then ten years of professional experience in development sector obtained in both governmental and non-governmental organizations. Prior joining the Eurasia Partnership Foundation she worked in the United States Agency for International Development. During her six plus years with the USAID she had wide range of duties, such as programs implementation oversight, research, information management and public outreach. She holds BA in law and MA in Public Policy and Administration.

Details... Leila Bagaeva

Regional HR Manager

Leila Bagaeva graduated from Leningrad Technical Institute with a degree in Biomedical Electronics. She was a lecturer at Tbilisi Technical College from 1983 until she began working at the Eurasia Foundation in 1999. Leila began her work at the Foundation as a grants analyst, was later promoted to grants associate, and has been a grants manager since 2003. She holds a certificate in Basic Financial and Tax Accounting from the Tbilisi Business School. Leila is an active parent who enjoys organizing educational activities for her son and his classmates. Her other hobbies are cooking and traveling.

Details... Nino Stavridi

Executive Assistant to the President

Nino Stavridi joined Eurasia Partnership Foundation in May 2008 after working as the Head of the International Department of Georgian Trade Unions Confederation, and previously, as an Assistant to the Economic Counselor at the Greek Embassy in Tbilisi. Nino has a Masters’ Degree in Public Relations from Tbilisi State Technical University and an Undergraduate Degree in Greek Language and Literature from Tbilisi State University. She has done post-graduate studies in both Greece and Cyprus.
